Brynja - The Housing Fund of The Organization of Disabled in Iceland
Brynja – The Housing Fund of The Organization of Disabled in Iceland, at Hátún 10, is a private institution established on 22nd February 1966. The role of the Fund is to own and operate flats for the disabled. The Fund achieves its objective by purchasing and building rental housing.
The Fund’s source of income, from the beginning, has been rents and, beginning in 1987, in addition a contribution from The Organization of Disabled in Iceland which allots to Brynja – The Housing Fund proceeds from the Icelandic Lotto.
Brynja – The Housing Fund of The Organization of Disabled in Iceland now owns better than 600 flats, the majority of which are in the capital area, with others widely located throughout the country.
The future work of Brynja – The Housing Fund is to continue to purchase, own and operate housing for the disabled.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 15:00 from September 1 to May 31. From June 1 to August 31 it is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 15:00 and on Friday from 9:00 to 13:00.

The Oddur Ólafsson Fund is run under the aegis of BRYNJU – The Housing Fund of The Organization of Disabled in Iceland and is a fund to support further education, research, education and prevention concerning the problems of the disabled, and especially in the area of respiratory illnesses.
